Official Release | October 30, 2017

Grand Prize Winner of Free-to-Play Game to Receive Trip to

NBA All-Star 2018 in Los Angeles

NEW YORK, Oct. 30, 2017 – The NBA G League will launch its first-ever fantasy game this season, which tips off Friday, Nov. 3.  NBA G League Fantasy will be a weekly, free-to-play game that allows fans to track the best performances by NBA G League veteran, two-way and rookie players.

NBA G League Fantasy was developed by fan engagement specialist, FanHub.

Fans around the world can sign up for NBA G League Fantasy through nbagleague.com/fantasy and the fantasy page on the NBA G League App.  The grand prize will feature a trip to NBA All-Star 2018 in Los Angeles, which will include travel and hotel accommodations, as well as tickets to the major events.  Prizes also will be awarded on a weekly basis, including gift certificates to NBAStore.com.

NBA G League Fantasy competitors will select five players each week to play in that week’s competition.  As a unique feature to the game, points will be awarded for player performances in both NBA and NBA G League games.  The game’s underlying scoring will utilize Official NBA Fantasy Scoring, which the NBA unveiled earlier this month to make the fantasy experience consistent for NBA fans across all formats and content. There will also be bonus points for NBA call-ups and for statistics earned during NBA games.

The new scoring system, which was created through data analysis and feedback from NBA partners and fans, is:

Points: 1
Rebounds: 1.2
Assists: 1.5
Steals: 3
Blocks: 3
Turnovers: -1
