College: Colorado (2014-2018)

Height/Weight: 6-foot-6, 220 pounds

NBA Team/NBA G League Affiliate: Phoenix Suns/Northern Arizona Suns

College Breakdown: George King spent four seasons with the Colorado Buffs, averaging 12.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game during his senior campaign on 39.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc. King was named to the All Pac-12 Second Team during the 2017-2018 season and ranked 5th in the conference in rebounds per game. The North Carolina-native had five 20-plus point performances during his senior season and recorded six double-doubles.

Scouting Report: King is an above average three-point shooter and projects as a shooting guard in the NBA. He’s a solid scorer off the dribble and likes to take smaller defenders into the post and around the basket. King is an excellent rebounding guard and a solid all-around defender, with the ability to switch onto point guards and small forwards off of pick-and-rolls. He’s an above-average athlete and uses his athleticism to draw fouls when driving hard towards the basket.

Organizational Fit: King will join the Phoenix Suns organization and will spend time with the Northern Arizona Suns. The NAZ Suns scored the second-most points per game a season ago and will give King a great offense to develop the kinks in his game. The Suns have a solid resume of recent Gatorade Call-Ups including Shaq Harrison, Josh Gray and Isaiah Canaan. Northern Arizona will be a great fit for King to improve his play and get ready for the NBA.
