Iowa Wolves forward Luka Garza and NBA G League Ignite guard Scoot Henderson have been named team captains for the NBA G League Next Up Game, which will take place on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. ET and air live on NBA TV from the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City as part of NBA All-Star 2023.

What is the G League Next Up Game?
Taking place during 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City, UT, the NBA G League Next Up Game will feature some of the top talent from across the NBA G League. For the first time in G League history, fans will have the chance to vote for their favorite G League players to participate in this All-Star Weekend competition. The NBA G League Next Up Game will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m. ET at the Jon M. Huntsman Center and will air live on NBA TV.
Who will be taking part in the game?
Twenty-four NBA G League players, including 10 selected by a fan vote, will compete in the Next Up Game. The remaining 14 players will be selected by the NBA G League and will include members of NBA G League Ignite and at least one member of the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz.
What is the format of the game?
Two captains will be selected from the pool of 24 players, who will each draft a team of 12. The player who receives the most fan votes will captain one team while a player from NBA G League Ignite will lead the other. NBA G League head coaches will lead the squads and will be joined on the sidelines by celebrity assistant coaches.
Is there a fan vote?
Similar to the NBA's All-Star starting lineup vote, fans can vote for up to five players they would like to see in the G League Next Up Game with each ballot they submit. Updates will be provided on the G League website to show which players lead in votes. After voting closes on Friday, Feb. 3, the top 10 players in total votes regardless of position will be invited to participate in the Next Up Game during All-Star Weekend.
Which players can I vote for?
All NBA G League contract players currently on rosters and NBA Two-Way players who have played in at least four games in the NBA G League are eligible to be selected. Standard NBA contract players who have played in the G League on assignment and NBA G League Ignite players are not eligible to be selected in the fan vote.
How many players can I vote for?
Each fan is able to vote for up to five players per ballot - two guards, two forwards, and a center. There is no limit to how many times a fan can vote, they will just have to resubmit a new ballot for each entry.
Where and when can I vote?
Fans voting starts on Friday, Jan. 13 at 9 a.m. ET and closes on Friday, Feb. 3 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Votes can be made at gleague.nba.com/vote, and links to vote will also be posted across league and team social media accounts throughout the voting period.
