    New Orleans Pelicans


    The former UNLV Runnin’ Rebel had a solid all-around game Thursday, posting 12 points, eight rebounds and six blocks in a return to his former stomping grounds. Birch was named to the D-League All-Rookie First Team last year.

    New Orleans Pelicans


    Curry, who leads the Summer League in scoring by three points per game (25.3), hit 12 shots Thursday in a Pelicans victory. The guard, who played for the Eerie BayHawks last year, also leads the Summer League in steals.

    San Antonio Spurs


    After signing with San Antonio, Simmons continued his impressive Summer League, scoring 18 points on 7-11 from the field. The guard, who made last year’s Austin Spurs squad through a local tryout, added five assists, four rebounds and two steals to his Thursday repertoire.

    D-League Select


    The 2012 D-League MVP was 6-10 from beyond the arc and 9-9 from the charity stripe Thursday against Dallas. His 31 points in 32 minutes, however, were not enough to beat the Mavs as the D-League Select squad was bounced from the tournament.

    Phoenix Suns


    Warren, the Suns’ leading Summer League scorer for the second year in a row, had a game-high 23 points Thursday in a win over Milwaukee. The D-League alum is Vegas’s fifth-leading scorer.
