OLLEGE PARK, Ga. –&nbsp;The College Park Skyhawks (9-9) fell short to the Long Island Nets (17-3), 120-107, at the Gateway Center Arena on Saturday in the Skyhawks’ final home game before the NBA and NBA G League All-Star break.&nbsp;&nbsp;



The Skyhawks were paced by Langston Galloway, who poured in 24 points (7-11 FG, 4-6 3FG). Galloway nailed at least four three-pointers for the sixth consecutive game. Brandon Williams added 16 points and nine assists.



The Skyhawks took the advantage early, with Galloway knocking down three consecutive triples in the first quarter. College Park kept the ball moving, tallying 10 assists in the quarter for the fifth time this season (3-1 in previous games). The Skyhawks led the entire quarter, but a late Nets run brought the Skyhawks lead to 31-29 to end the quarter.



The Nets took their first lead of the game at 40-39 with 8:06 left in the second quarter, but the quarter was a stalemate, 28-28. The Skyhawks finished the first half with a 59-57 lead. Galloway led the way with 12 points (3-3 3FG), while his backcourt partner Williams tallied 11 points, six assists, and two steals.



The Nets fired off a 7-0 run to begin the third quarter, and kept that momentum for the whole of the quarter, outscoring the Skyhawks 34-23. Chris Chiozza converted on three three-pointers in the quarter to lead the Nets with 11 points.



The Nets maintained their lead and outscored the Skyhawks, 29-25, in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.



“We have to be consistent and continue to play for each other,” said Skyhawks Head Coach Steve Gansey. “In this league, you have to come to play every night.”



Chiozza led the Nets with 27 points (9-17 FG, 7-13 3FG) and eight assists. RaiQuan Gray (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Kaiser Gates (14 points, 11 rebounds) pitched in with double-doubles.



Prior to the NBA and NBA G League All-Star break, the Skyhawks will head out on the road for one game against the Delaware Blue Coats on Monday, Feb. 13 followed by a return to Fort Wayne for a contest with the Mad Ants on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Monday’s game will tip off at 7 p.m. ET, with Wednesday’s contest set for 12:30 p.m. ET.
