Washington D.C.&nbsp;– The Motor City Cruise began their regular season tonight, taking on Capital City Go-Go. Motor City fell in tonight’s game with a score of 115-108.



After signing David Nwaba before the final two games of the Winter Showcase, the Motor City Cruise welcomed two new players to the roster. The Cruise acquired Jaime Echenique shortly after the Winter Showcase, along with Jared Rhoden signing a two-way contract with the Detroit Pistons. Both would travel with the team. However, Echenique would sit out due to an ankle sprain.



Devontae Cacok tallied a double-double to begin the regular season. He scored a total of 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 40 minutes. Ryan Turell scored a career high of 21 points. shot 8-10 from the court (4-5 from beyond the arc) in just under 18 minutes of action. Lastly, Jared Rhoden would drop 15 points in his first game as a Motor City Cruise. He saw the court for a total of 36 minutes. He was one rebound away from tallying a double-double and tallied three assists.



Vernon Carey Jr. led the way for Capital City, scoring 24 points. He grabbed seven rebounds and tallied four assists. Kris Dunn (former NBA teammate of David Nwaba) followed up with 21 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Lastly, Johnny Davis would score 18 points off the bench, grab five rebounds, and tally two assists.
