SALT LAKE CITY (November 11, 2022)&nbsp;– The Stars lost their first game of the 2022 G League Showcase Cup in a 95-109 road loss to the Stockton Kings at Stockton Arena and are now 2-1 on the year.



Salt Lake City was led by Utah Jazz two-way player&nbsp;Micah Potter&nbsp;who logged 22 points on 7-of-9 from the field, along with eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Big-man&nbsp;Tyler Cook&nbsp;was efficient from the floor, scoring 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting, also grabbing four boards.



Forward&nbsp;Paris Bass&nbsp;was impressive off the bench once again, registering 15 points (5-of-11 FG and 3-of-5 3FG), grabbing six boards, and handing out four assists in 32 minutes



After being down 70-85 going into the fourth quarter, the Stars were able to cut the lead to nine, 83-92, with 6:31 remaining in the final period thanks to Potter’ssix fourth quarter points, but the hometown Kings pulled away in the final stretch to seal the victory.



Stockton’s&nbsp;Chima Moneke&nbsp;finished with 24 points and nine boards with&nbsp;DJ Steward&nbsp;adding 27 points off the bench.



The Stars next matchup is on Nov. 17 on the road against the Ontario Clippers at 8 p.m. MT.
