Birmingham Squadron Acquire Returning Player Rights for Jalen Crutcher From Greensboro

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham Squadron have acquired the returning player rights to guard Jalen Crutcher from the Greensboro Swarm in exchange for the returning player rights to John Petty, Jr. and a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA G League Player Draft, the team announced today.

Crutcher was acquired by Greensboro after going undrafted out of Dayton in the 2021 NBA Draft.

In two seasons for the Swarm, Crutcher appeared in 87 games with 67 starts. In the regular season, the Memphis native averaged 15.8 points, 5.1 assists and 3.0 rebounds per contest.

At Dayton under head coach Anthony Grant, Crutcher was twice named First-Team All-Atlantic 10 in 2020 and 2021 after being elected Third-Team All-A-10 in 2019. In 2018, he was honored as a member of the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team.
