Blue Drops Celtics To Even Series At 1-1

OKLAHOMA CITY, April 11, 2024 – The Oklahoma City Blue (1-1) defeated the Maine Celtics (1-1), 99-89, on Thursday night at Paycom Center. Thunder assignment player Lindy Waters III scored a team-high 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting to go along with seven rebounds and five assists to help lead the Blue to the win.

“I thought we played hard through the ups and downs of the game, Head Coach Kameron Woods said. “We are looking forward to finishing out the season strong.”

Oklahoma City held a 25-14 lead after the first quarter and a 55-46 lead at halftime. The Blue outscored the Celtics 28-23 in the third to extend its lead to 83-69 after three. Oklahoma City ultimately held off a late rally by Maine to hang on and grab the win at home to even the series. 

Thunder assignment player Ousmane Dieng tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks in the win. Two-way player Olivier Sarr scored 10 points and grabbed nine boards while fellow two-way player Adam Flagler added two points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. 

Maine was led by Drew Peterson who scored a game-high 29 points on 10-of-19 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds.

Next up, Oklahoma City heads back to Maine for Game 3 of the 2024 NBA G League Finals on Monday, April 15th at 8 p.m. CT at the Portland Expo Building.
