Capital City Go-Go Trade For Mychal Mulder In Deal With Hustle

WASHINGTON, D.C. –The Capital City Go-Go, the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, have completed two trades, acquiring Mychal Mulder and Taylor Funk in separate transactions. Mulder was acquired by the Go-Go from the Memphis Hustle in exchange for DeJon Jarreau and Funk was acquired in a three-team trade that sent Malik Fitts to the Cleveland Charge.
Mulder (6-3, 195) has appeared in 84 career NBA games (12 starts) with the Miami Heat (2022), Orlando Magic (2021-22) and Golden State Warriors (2020-21), averaging 5.8 points and 1.3 rebounds. The 29-year-old guard has also appeared in 214 NBA G League games (186 starts) with the Memphis Hustle (2023), Sioux Falls Skyforce (2022-23, 2019-20), Lakeland Magic (2021) and Windy City Bulls (2017-19). He has averaged 5.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game in 16 games with the Hustle this season and holds career averages of 14.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in the G League regular season. A native of Canada, Mulder was drafted ninth overall out of Kentucky in the 2017 NBA G League Draft by the Windy City Bulls.
Funk (6-8, 230) has appeared in all 16 games for Maine this season, averaging 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 17.5 minutes per game. Prior to joining the NBA G League, Funk participated in the 2023 NBA Summer League with the Miami Heat before earning an Exhibit 10 contract with the Boston Celtics. The 26-year-old forward spent one season at Utah State, averaging 13.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in 34 games played (all starts) in 2022-23. Before Utah State, the Lancaster, PA, native appeared in 120 games (100 starts) for Saint Joseph’s from 2017-2022, including averaging 17.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game for the 2020-21 season.
Jarreau was originally acquired by the Go-Go via trade with the Texas Legends during the 2021-22 season, appearing in 12 games before suffering a season-ending torn ACL that also kept him out of the following 2022-23 season. He has appeared in 12 games for the Go-Go this season, averaging 8.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 15.7 minutes per game. Fitts was acquired by the Go-Go via trade with the Ontario Clippers prior to the 2023-24 season and has appeared in 14 games, averaging 4.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 17.2 minutes per game.
