Celtics Sign Dalano Banton

BOSTON – The Boston Celtics announced today that the team has signed guard Dalano Banton. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In 221 career games (19 starts) with Toronto (2021-23), Boston (2023-24, 2025-26), Portland (2023-25), and the LA Clippers (2025-26), Banton (6-8, 203) has averaged 6.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 14.3 minutes per game. Outside of 10-day stints with the Clippers Feb. 7 (two games played) and the Celtics Feb. 19 (three games played), the 26-year-old spent most of the 2025-26 season in the NBA G League with the Texas Legends. In 30 regular season G League games, Banton posted averages of 25.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 33.2 minutes per game. The Toronto native was originally selected by the Raptors with the 46th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft after two collegiate seasons at Nebraska (2020-21) and Western Kentucky (2018-19).
