Charlotte Hornets Sign Antonio Reeves To Two-Way Contract

July 25, 2025 – Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations Jeff Peterson announced today that the team has signed free-agent guard Antonio Reeves to a Two-Way contract. Per team policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed. In a corresponding move, the team waived guard Damion Baugh.

Reeves was originally selected by the Orlando Magic with the 47th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and traded to the New Orleans Pelicans on draft day. The Chicago native averaged 6.9 points (.456 FG%, .395 3P%, .800 FT%) and 1.4 rebounds in 15.0 minutes per contest in his rookie season, competing in 44 games (six starts). Reeves logged three 20-point performances and scored a career-high 34 points (14-25 FG) against Cleveland on Nov. 20, 2024.

Reeves played collegiately at Kentucky and Illinois State. He played three seasons as a Redbird and averaged 20.2 points per game as a junior before transferring to Kentucky and spending his last two seasons as a Wildcat. Reeves claimed SEC Sixth Man of the Year in 2022-23 and averaged 20.2 points per game in his All-SEC graduate season while shooting .447% from 3-point range to lead the conference.

The Hornets signed Baugh to a Two-Way contract on Feb. 12, 2025. In 15 appearances (two starts) with Charlotte, he averaged 7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 24.7 minutes per game. Baugh scored a career-high 16 points in his NBA debut and reached double figures three more times throughout the season.
