DETROIT, Mich. – The Motor City Cruise, NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today that two-way guard Daniss Jenkins was awarded NBA G League Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 10-22. Jenkins is the third Cruise player in franchise history to receive this honor (Saben Lee, 2021 & Jared Rhoden, 2023).

During the week, Jenkins led the team to a 5-0 record and posted averages of 26.4 points (48.5% FG%, 46.0 3PT%), 4.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.8 steals in 32.6 minutes per game.

Jenkins scored 30 or more points in three of his five appearances with Motor City. Additionally, he recorded five steals on Feb. 13 vs. Windy City and made eight three-point field goals on Feb. 22 at Wisconsin, which earned the Dallas native career highs in both categories. Jenkins capped off the week with a career high of 41 points (12-19 FG, 8-11 3PT), seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 30.5 minutes in a 127-91 victory against the Wisconsin Herd on Feb. 22, which marked the team’s sixth consecutive win.

His 21.9 points and 6.3 assists ranks fourth among all NBA two-way players (min. 16 games). Additionally, Jenkins has scored 438 points, which only trails JD Davison (Maine Celtics - 531) for most points scored during the 2024-25 NBA G League regular season.
