NBA China And Shanghai East Asia Sports Culture Center To Host First NBA Shanghai Basketball Festival
G League United to Face 2025-26 CBA Champion Shanghai Sharks in NBA G League’s First Games Against a CBA Team

SHANGHAI, Aug. 10, 2026 – NBA China and Shanghai East Asia Sports Culture Center Co. Ltd. today announced the first NBA Shanghai Basketball Festival, a week-long basketball and lifestyle festival featuring two games between NBA G League United – a team made up of top G League players – and the 2025-26 CBA champion Shanghai Sharks. The games will be held on Friday, Aug. 28 and Sunday, Aug. 30 at Shanghai Indoor Stadium, marking the G League’s first games against a CBA team.
Promoted by Shanghai East Asia Sports Culture Center, the festival will also include the NBA Shanghai Basketball Festival Fan Carnival from Monday, Aug. 24 – Aug. 30, a free event for fans of all ages at Shanghai Xujiahui Sports Park featuring interactive basketball activities, local entertainment, meet-and-greets with NBA G League and Shanghai Sharks players, viewing parties of historic games, and official NBA merchandise.
Tickets for games between NBA G League United and the Shanghai Sharks will go on sale on Tuesday, Aug. 18 through the JUSS Sports App and JUSS Sports’ WeChat channel. The G League United roster will be announced in the coming weeks.
