Isaiah Wong Named G League Player Of The Week
Guard earns first career POTW accolade on a 4-0 week

SALT LAKE CITY (November 26, 2024) — The NBA G League announced today that Salt Lake City Stars guard Isaiah Wong has been named NBA G League Player of the Week for games played from Monday, Nov. 18, through Sunday, Nov. 24. This marks his first Player of the Week accolade, helping the Stars to a perfect 4-0 record at home on the week.
Wong (6-3, 185, Miami) led Salt Lake City to a 4-0 record at home, averaging 27.8 points on 52.9 percent shooting, 57.9 percent from downtown, to go with 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists. The Stars guard put on a career-high 41-point performance during the week, now ranking fourth in the G League in points with 26.1ppg.

Nov. 18 vs. Rip City Remix: Scored 26 points (10-of-16 FG) including 6-of-7 from the penalty line, while serving six assists and capturing four steals, in the Stars first victory of the season, 127-118, against the Remix.
Nov. 20 vs. Rip City Remix: Recorded career-high performance with 41 points on 12-of-24 from the field, 5-of-10 from behind the arc, and a perfect 9-of-9 from the free-throw line, to go with three rebounds and two assists. Wong’s 41-points tied the previous record for most points scored in a game this season, in the Stars 127-116 win vs. the Remix.
Nov. 22 vs. Santa Cruz Warriors: Filled the stat sheet with 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals, in the Stars’ third straight victory, 101-99 vs. the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Nov. 23 vs. Santa Cruz Warriors: Finished the week with a game-high 31-point performance, shooting 73.3% from the field (11-of-15 FG), and 80.0% from behind the three-point line (4-of-5 3P). The Piscataway, N.J., native added three rebounds, two assists, and two steals as the Stars expanded their win-streak to four, defeating the Santa Cruz Warriors, 135-102, in the final game of their homestand.
