Jared Butler Named NBA G League Player Of The Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The NBA G League announced today that Washington Wizards Two-Way player Jared Butler was named Player of the Week for the week of December 27 – January 1.

Butler averaged 28.0 points, 12.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds while shooting .553 from the field and .692 from three-point range during the week, leading the Go-Go to back-to-back wins at home while securing back-to-back double-double performances.

On December 28, Butler dished out a career-high 13 assists while putting up 24 points, including five-of-six made three-point shots against the Raptors 905. His 13 assists are also tied for the fourth-most assists by a Go-Go player in a single game. Butler followed that performance with 32 points and 12 assists on December 30 against the Motor City Cruise, the second-highest scoring game of his career and his most points scored since Feb. 3, 2023. Butler also helped clinch the Go-Go’s first overtime victory of the season on December 30, delivering two assists and making the final three-pointer the Go-Go needed to reach the target score of 124 in overtime.

Through the first week of the NBA G League regular season, Butler’s 28.0 points per game are tied for eighth in the league and his 12.5 assists per game rank second.  He has averaged 4.5 points and 1.9 assists in 14 games with the Wizards.
