Jared Rhoden Named NBA G League Player Of The Week

DETROIT – The Motor City Cruise, NBA G League affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today that two-way player Jared Rhoden was awarded NBA G League Player of the Week. Rhoden is the second Cruise player to receive this honor in franchise history (Saben Lee, 2021).
Rhoden averaged 27.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in three appearances, leading the Cruise to a 3-0 start in the first week of the NBA G League Showcase Cup. The Baldwin, N.Y., native scored a career-high 36 points in the season opener at Grand Rapids on Sunday, Nov. 12. When the Cruise returned to Grand Rapids on Saturday, Nov. 18, he scored 17 points in the fourth quarter alone to help seal the win for Motor City.
Through four games, Rhoden is currently averaging 23.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 37.5 minutes per game with the Motor City Cruise.
The Cruise will play their next game on Wednesday, Nov. 22, against the Indiana Mad Ants at 12:30 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. The Cruise return to Wayne State Fieldhouse (Detroit, MI) on Friday, Nov. 24, to take on the Cleveland Charge at 7:00 p.m. ET.
