FRISCO, TX, (Oct. 28, 2023) – The Texas Legends completed a draft day trade with the South Bay Lakers, sending the draft rights to the 1st overall pick, Jack White. In exchange, South Bay sends the draft rights to the 2nd overall pick, Teafale Lenard, a 2024 1st round pick (via Mexico City), and a 2024 2nd round pick (via Austin).
Lenard (6-8, 175, Middle Tennessee State) played two seasons at MTSU earning C-USA All-Freshman Team and All-Defensive Team. In 70 career games, the Abilene, TX native averaged 7.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.7 blocks.
