Los Angeles Lakers Sign Forward Drew Timme to Two-Way Contract

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed forward Drew Timme to a two-way contract. In a corresponding move, the team has waived two-way center Christian Koloko.

Timme (6’10”, 235) most recently suited up for the South Bay Lakers, appearing in six Tip-Off Tournament games (all starts) and averaging a team-high 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 25.5 minutes. He scored in double figures in all six outings, including four games with 20+ points. Timme was named NBA G League Player of the Week for games played Friday, Nov. 7, through Sunday, Nov. 16, after leading South Bay to a 3-0 start to the season while averaging 30.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 34.6 minutes.

Across three NBA G League seasons with South Bay (2025-26), Long Island (2024-25), Stockton (2024-25) and Wisconsin (2023-24), Timme has appeared in 76 career regular season and Tip-Off Tournament games (all starts), averaging 16.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 27.5 minutes. The 25-year-old has also appeared in nine NBA regular season games (two starts) with the Brooklyn Nets (2024-25), averaging 12.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 28.2 minutes.

Collegiately, Timme played four seasons at Gonzaga University (2019-23), appearing in 134 games (105 starts) and averaging 17.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 27.2 minutes. Gonzaga's all-time leading scorer, Timme earned a First Team All-American and WCC Player of the Year as a senior.

Timme will wear jersey No. 17 for the Purple and Gold.

Koloko was originally signed to a two-way contract by the Lakers Sept. 16, 2024. He appeared in 37 regular season games in 2024-25, averaging 2.4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 9.2 minutes.
