Magic Acquire D.J. Wilson From Blue

Lakeland, Fla. – The Lakeland Magic have acquired forward D.J. Wilson from the Oklahoma City Blue, General Manager Kevin Tiller announced today. Lakeland sends the Salt Lake City Stars’ 2023 NBA G League first-round draft pick to The Oklahoma City Blue. In a separate transaction, Lakeland has acquired returning player rights to guard Justin Jaworski from the Iowa Wolves and Iowa’s own 2023 NBA G League second-round draft pick. Lakeland sends center Simi Shittu and the South Bay Lakers’ 2023 NBA G League second-round draft pick to the Iowa Wolves.
Wilson (6’10”, 231, 2/19/96) has played in 23 games (14 starts) this season with Oklahoma, averaging 15.0 ppg., 6.1 rpg. and 2.8 apg. in 27.9 minpg., while shooting .48 from the field.
Originally selected in the first round (17 overall) of the 2017 NBA Draft by Milwaukee, Wilson has played in 146 career NBA regular season games (six starts), averaging 4.4 ppg. and 3.1 rpg. in 12.3 minpg.
Shittu (6’10”, 240, 11/7/99) has played in 23 games (19 starts) this season with Lakeland, averaging 14.2 ppg., 10.5 rpg. and 1.5 apg. in 21.9 minpg., while shooting .516 from the field.
Jaworski (6’3”, 196, 6/21/99) played in 21 games in the 21-22 season with the Oklahoma City Blue, averaging 9.81 ppg., 3.15 rpg. and 1.41 apg. in 20.7 minpg., while shooting .37 from three-point range.
