STOCKTON, Calif. – The No. 3 seed Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, defeated the No. 6 seed Iowa Wolves 116-104, Wednesday night at Adventist Health Arena, advancing to the second round of the Western Conference in the 2026 NBA G League Playoffs presented by Google.
Forward DaQuan Jeffries led with 27 points and three steals. Forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. added 25 points, guard Jameer Nelson Jr. chipped in 21, and guard Jon Elmore recorded 14 assists. Forward Dexter Dennis contributed 14 points as well.
Iowa was led by forward Enrique Freeman, who finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds, while guard Jalen Crutcher posted 22 points and seven assists.
Stockton jumped out to an early lead thanks to hot shooting from beyond the arc, opening on a 16–11 run and carrying a 37–32 advantage after the first quarter. Baldwin scored 11 points in the frame, forward Jaylin Williams added nine off the bench, and the Kings connected on 7-of-12 on three-pointers.
The Wolves made it a one-possession game by halftime, as both teams traded baskets throughout the second quarter. Stockton entered the break holding a slim 60–59 lead.
Defense took center stage in the third quarter as scoring slowed on both sides. The Kings extended their cushion by holding Iowa to just 19 points in the period, taking an 84–78 lead into the final 12 minutes.
Stockton pushed the margin to 11 points midway through the fourth, but Iowa responded with a quick 7–0 run. Jeffries and Baldwin answered with back-to-back three-pointers to regain control, and Elmore sealed the victory with a three-pointer in the final 34 seconds as the Kings pulled away for the 116-104 win.
The Kings return to Adventist Health Arena on Friday, April 3, to host the No. 7 seed Rip City Remix at 7:00 p.m. PT. Fans can stream live on NBA TV.
