Nuggets Sign Curtis Jones to Two-Way Contract

DENVER, July 22, 2025 – The Denver Nuggets have signed guard Curtis Jones to a two-way contract, Ben Tenzer, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations and Jonathan Wallace, Executive Vice President of Player Personnel announced today.
Jones, 6-5, 165, appeared in 130 games (41 starts) in four collegiate seasons between Buffalo and Iowa State, averaging 11.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 40.8% from the field and 36.2% from three in 25.7 minutes per game. The 23-year-old finished his senior season playing in 34 of 35 games (nine starts), averaging 17.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals, while shooting 43.0% from the field and 37.4% from three in 30.5 minutes. He was named the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year and was also named to the All-Big 12 First Team. Jones is one of five players since 1996-97 to average 17+ points while coming off the bench and is the only player since 1996-97 to score 26 or more points off the bench in multiple NCAA Tournament games.
The Saint Paul, Minnesota native went undrafted in the 2025 NBA draft. He appeared in five games for the Nuggets in the NBA 2K26 Summer League, posting averages of 14.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists, shooting 54.9% from the field and 46.7% from three in 20.2 minutes per game. He scored the most points for the Nuggets and finished second on the team in points per game.
