Osceola Magic Acquire Returning Player Rights For Aamir Simms From Rip City

Kissimmee, FL – The Osceola Magic have acquired the returning player rights to forward Aamir Simms from the Rip City Remix in exchange for returning player rights to Drake Jeffries, Osceola Magic General Manager Kevin Tiller announced today. 

Simms was acquired by Rip City in the 2023-24 NBA G League Expansion Draft. Simms most recently played for the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Summer League. 

Simms (6’8”, 245, 02/17/1999) played in 23 games (16 starts) with the Westchester Knicks in the 2021-22 season, averaging 11.2 ppg., 5.4 rpg. and 1.6 apg. in 24.0 minpg., while shooting .394 from three-point range and .893 from the free throw line.  

Simms played in 122 games (100 starts) in four seasons at Clemson University (2017-21), averaging 9.2 ppg. and 5.2 rpg. 

Simms was named to the All-Atlantic-Coast Conference Third-Team in 2020 and was named to the All-ACC Second-Team in 2022.
