Philadelphia 76ers Sign Jalen Hood-Schifino To Two-Way Contract

PHILADELPHIA – MARCH 1, 2025 - Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey announced today that the team has signed Jalen Hood-Schifino to a two-way contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Hood-Schifino has appeared in 23 career NBA games over the last two seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers, which selected him with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. As a rookie, he posted a career-high 10 points at Detroit on Nov. 29, 2023.
In addition to his NBA experience, Hood-Schifino played for the South Bay Lakers in the G League last season, averaging 22.0 points per contest. With South Bay, he shot 47.3-percent from the field and 43.2-percent from three-point range, adding 4.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. He tallied 20-or-more points 10 times, including a career-best 38 points (10-17 FG, 5-8 3FG, 8-9 FT) at Austin on Feb. 29, 2024.
Prior to being drafted by the Lakers, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native played one collegiate season at Indiana, averaging 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists across 32 games (all starts) for the Hoosiers. Following the season, he was named the 2022-23 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and garneredAll-Big Ten Third Team honors.
Hood-Schifino will wear No. 17 for the 76ers.
