Perry Earns his First Player of the Week Award

Raptors 905 forward, Reggie Perry, has been named the NBA G League Player of the Week for games played through Monday, Jan. 9 to Sunday, Jan. 15, the league announced today. Perry averaged 29.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 block in four games, helping the 905 tally a 3-1 record for the week.

In the 905’s win over Capital City on Jan. 9 Perry posted 21 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal, and two blocks in 28 minutes played. On Tuesday’s game against Capital City, he scored a season-high 37 points, with nine rebounds, an assist, a steal, and two blocks. He finished with 34 points, eight rebounds, an assist, and two steals in the 905’s road win against Motor City on Thursday. Perry capped off the week tallying 24 points, four rebounds, four assists, and a steal in the overtime win in Sioux Falls Sunday afternoon.

Through eight games in the regular season, Perry is averaging 25.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 blocks in 31.4 minutes. He has secured a double-double in a team-high 13 games this season, including his first career-triple double against the College Park Skyhawks on Dec 16. Perry is the only player in the G League currently averaging 25-or-more points and seven-or-more rebounds.
