The Sacramento Kings announced today that the team has signed center Dylan Cardwell to a multi-year NBA contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In his first season, Cardwell is averaging 4.7 points (59.8 FG%), 7.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.7 blocks in 20.0 minutes per game in 25 appearances (1 start). Amongst rookies, he is second in rebounds and first in blocks per game while ranking 11th in total rebounds (177) and third in total blocks (42). Cardwell has collected 10 or more rebounds in six games this season, tied for fourth-most among first-year players.
Cardwell appeared in 38 games at Auburn during the 2024-25 season, averaging 5.0 points (70.0 FG%), 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 20.3 minutes per game. Over five seasons for the Tigers, he posted career averages of 4.2 points (70.9 FG%), 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per contest in 166 games.
