Santa Cruz Warriors Acquire Amida Brimah From Grand Rapids Gold
Warriors Send Player Rights To JaQuori McLaughlin And 2024 Second Round Pick To Gold

SANTA CRUZ, CA – The Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, have acquired center Amida Brimah from the Grand Rapids Gold in exchange for the player rights to guard JaQuori McLaughlin and a 2024 second round draft pick. In a related roster move, the Santa Cruz Warriors waived forward Josh Nzeakor.
In 15 NBA G League games with Grand Rapids this season, Brimah averaged 6.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 16.9 minutes per game. Unselected in the 2017 NBA draft, Brimah owns career averages of 7.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 2.7 blocks and 22.9 minutes over 107 G League games with the Austin Spurs, Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Grand Rapids Gold. He signed a two-way deal with the Indiana Pacers on April 23, 2021 appearing in five games, averaging 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 5.8 minutes per game.
McLaughlin, who did not appear in a game with Santa Cruz this season, owns career G League averages of 8.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 25.7 minutes over 52 games with Santa Cruz and the Texas Legends. In three NBA G League games with the Santa Cruz Warriors this season, Nzeakor averaged 5.7 points and 3.0 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per game.
