Stars Acquire 905 Guard Christian Vital

SALT LAKE CITY (December 16, 2022) — The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today the acquisition of guard Christian Vital from the Raptors 905 in exchange for guard Darryl Morsell and the returning player rights to Malcolm Miller.

Vital (6-2, 187,UConn) appeared in 14 games with one start for the 905, the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, this season where he averaged 8.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 19.7 minutes a game. Vital spent the 2021-22 season with Rio Grande Valley Vipers averaging 12.9 points and 3.2 rebounds for the Houston Rockets G League affiliate.

Prior to his time in the NBA G League, the New York native, spent two seasons at UConn (2016-20). Vital owned collegiate career averages of 13.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 30.6 minutes a game.

Morsell appeared in 12 games with the Stars this season contributing 5.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.4 assists a game.
