Vipers Acquire Returning Rights To Alex Fudge

EDINBURG, Texas (Oct. 1, 2026) – The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, announced today a three-team trade with the Stockton Kings and the Long Island Nets. This trade is not subject to a physical.

The Vipers have acquired the returning rights to Alex Fudge from the Stockton Kings. In exchange, RGV agreed to trade the returning rights to Kacper Klaczek to Stockton and Jonathan Pierre to the Long Island Nets. Additionally, Stockton will receive the returning rights to David Muoka from Long Island.

Fudge (6-8, 200) most recently played with the Ottawa Blackjacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). In 34 games he averaged 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 blocks. 

Last Season, Fudge spent his time with the Sioux Falls Skyforce averaging 7.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 41 games played. During the 2024-25 season the Florida native played in 15 games for the South Bay Lakers averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.

Fudge began his career in the G League in 2023 when he signed a two-way contract with the Lakers. Later that season, Fudge signed a two-way with the Dallas Mavericks. He averaged 8.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 33 games played between both teams. 

Before declaring for the NBA Draft in 2023, Fudge spent his sophomore year of college playing in 32 games for the Florida Gators averaging 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds. From 2021-22 Fudge was part of the LSU Tigers.
