Texas Legends Aquire Charles Bassey And Ja’Vier Francis

Frisco, TX – The Texas Legends have agreed to a trade with the Santa Cruz Warriors, acquiring a 2026 1^st round pick (SCW, #6) and the returning rights to Charles Bassey and Ja’Vier Francis in exchange for Miles Kelly. 

Kelly appeared in 33 games for the Legends last season and averaged 21 points and 4.8 rebounds. 

Ja’Vier Francis played in 47 games last season for the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 7.1 points and 6.1 rebounds. Bassey, who played for both the Delaware Blue Coats and Santa Cruz Warriors, averaged a double-double with 20.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. 

The Texas Legends open the 2026-27 season on Sunday, November 8^th on the road against the Mexico City Capitanes.
