Thomas, Baker, Moore Lead G League United Past BC Mega Mis

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - G League United, a group of select G League stars and prospects, earned a victory in the first game in team history, using a strong fourth quarter run to pull away from Serbian opponent BC Mega Mis for a 99-81 win in the first game of the 2024 NBA G League Fall Invitational on Wednesday night at Kaiser Permanente Arena. This was the first of two games between the teams that also serves as an exhibition for G League United before they travel to Singapore to play in the 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.

Brodric Thomas and Rob Baker II led the way for G League United, scoring 17 points apiece while both posting efficient nights from the field. Thomas finished the night 6-of-8 shooting, while baker got eight of his 12 shots to drop. The duo was joined in double figures by Taze Moore (15 points), Michael Foster Jr. (14 points), and Keisei Tominaga (12 points). Japanese rookie Tominaga impressed in his professional debut, scoring nine quick points in the first half and showcasing his 3-point shooting range.

Bosnian point guard Kosta Kondic had the biggest impact for BC Mega Mis, leading all scorers with 22 points while adding five rebounds and two assists. 19-year-old big man Bogoljub Markovic showcased a smooth jumper for his 6-foot-11 frame for BC Mega Mis, finishing with 18 points on an efficient 7-of-12 from the field.
