Timberwolves Sign Jules Bernard to Two-Way Contract

Minneapolis-St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has signed guard Jules Bernard to a two-way contract. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Bernard, 6-6, has appeared in 37 games (33 starts) for the Iowa Wolves this season, the NBA G League affiliate of the Timberwolves, averaging 22.5 points on 42.5% shooting, including 34.9% from deep and 80.6% from the free throw line, 6.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 34.5 minutes per game.
Bernard has scored 30+ points six times this season for the Wolves, including a 38-point performance against the Long Island Nets on Jan. 18, marking a season-high for points scored. On Feb. 7, Bernard finished with 30 points, knocking down eight threes to go along with 13 rebounds and 13 assists, all of which were season-highs, helping lead Iowa to a 123-120 win over the Maine Celtics.
The Los Angeles native appeared in 19 games for the Washington Wizards during the 2023-24 season, averaging 3.9 points on 45.3% shooting, including 37.9% from three and 1.4 rebounds in 7.9 minutes per game.
The 23-year-old guard appeared in 130 games (65 starts) in four seasons at UCLA, owning career collegiate averages of 9.2 points on 43.0% shooting, including 35.4% from deep, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 23.4 minutes per contest. Bernard was named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team following the 2022 season.
