Utah Jazz Sign Josh Christopher To Two-Way Contract

The Utah Jazz have signed guard Josh Christopher to a two-way contract. In a related move, the team has waived forward Joey Hauser. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
Christopher (6-5, 218, Arizona State) has two years of NBA experience with the Houston Rockets (2021-23) and has appeared in 138 career games (four starts) with averages of 6.9 points on 45.5 percent from the field, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 15.4 minutes per game. Drafted in the first round (24th overall) of the 2021 NBA Draft by Houston, he has additional professional experience in the NBA G League where he appeared in eight games in two seasons for Rio Grande Valley, averaging 24.0 points on 52.1 percent shooting, 6.4 assists, 5.5 boards, and 1.4 steals in 34.0 minutes per game.
A native of Carson, Calif., the 21-year-old played one collegiate season at Arizona State (2020-21), where he saw action in 15 games (all starts), owning averages of 14.3 points, 4.7 boards, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 assists in 29.7 minutes. A standout prep player at Mayfair High School, Christopher was named a McDonald’s High School All-American following his senior season in 2019-20.
