Utah Jazz Sign Tamar Bates to Two-Way Contract

SALT LAKE CITY (July 3, 2026)– The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has signed guard Tamar Bates to a two-way contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
About Tamar Bates
A native of Kansas City, Kan., Bates began his college career at Indiana (2021-23) where he appeared in 67 games.
Bates (6-4, 195, Missouri) played in 13 games for the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League last season, averaging 19.5 points on 55.6 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from beyond the arc, along with 4.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 33.2 minutes per game.
He spent two collegiate seasons at Missouri (2023-25), where he averaged 13.4 points on 50.2 percent shooting, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 26.6 minutes per game.
