Washington Signs Skal Labissière To 10-Day Contract

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Wizards announced today they have signed Skal Labissière to a 10-day contract.
Labissière (6-10, 235) is a 29-year-old forward/center with five years of NBA experience. In 152 career games (43 starts) with Sacramento and Portland, Labissiere has averaged 7.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game on .492 shooting from the field and .360 shooting from three.
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Labissière was originally selected with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns before a draft night trade sent him to Sacramento. Labissière played one season at Kentucky in 2015-16 before entering the draft.
Labissière spent the 2025 preseason with Washington before joining the Capital City Go-Go for his seventh NBA G League season. In 26 total games, he is averaging 19.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 2.5 blocks per game while shooting .554 from the field and .441 from three. His field goal percentage currently ranks second, and his three-point percentage ranks third among all players over the course of the full season (min. 250 FGA/100 3PA). Labissière ranks second in the league with 64 blocks and has tallied nine games with at least 3+ blocks, including two six-block efforts.
