Wisconsin Herd Receive Returning Player Rights To Three Players In Trade

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Dec. 8, 2023) – The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, have received the returning player rights to Gary Clark, Quinn Cook and Alfonzo McKinnie from the Stockton Kings in a three-team trade. In exchange, the Herd has agreed to send Iverson Molinar and the returning player rights to Brendan Bailey to the Mexico City Capitanes.
Also in the three-team trade, the Mexico City Capitanes have agreed to trade the returning player rights to Mason Jones to the Stockton Kings. Stockton has agreed to trade their own first-round pick in the 2024 NBA G League Draft to Mexico City.
Gary Clark started his career with the Houston Rockets on a two-way contract before being converted to a standard contract in December 2018. The 6-6, 225-pound forward appeared in 69 games for the Rockets during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. Clark went on to spend time with the Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers before joining the Mexico City Capitanes for the 2021-22 season. During his time, he earned the team’s first NBA Call-Up by signing with the New Orleans Pelicans for the remainder of the season. Clark returned to the Capitanes during the 2022-23 season where he averaged 18.9 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Most recently, he signed with the Illawarra Hawks of the National Basketball League.
Quinn Cook joined the Canton Charge during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. During his time with the Charge, Cook earned two NBA Call-Ups with the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans. The 6-1, 180-pound guard went on to sign a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors during the 2017-18 season where he won an NBA Championship. Cook rejoined the Warriors for the 2018-19 season where he appeared in 74 games. The Washington, D.C. native signed with the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2019-20 season where he won his second NBA Championship. Cook spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Stockton Kings before most recently signing with the Zhejiang Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Alfonzo McKinnie played his final years of college basketball at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay before starting his professional career overseas. In 2016-17 McKinnie joined the Windy City Bulls before signing with the Toronto Raptors. The 6-7, 215-pound guard went on to play with the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers before joining the Mexico City Capitanes. During his time with the Capitanes, McKinnie earned an NBA Call-Up with the Chicago Bulls. He returned to the Mexico City Capitanes for the 2022-23 season before most recently joining the Lega Basket Serie A in Italy.
