Brown Signs 10-Day Contract With The Los Angeles Lakers

Raptors 905, the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors announced Saturday that guard Sterling Brown has signed a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
In four regular season games (all starts) for the 905, the veteran guard is averaging 11.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks in 33.3 minutes per contest.
Brown played 136 games (106 starts) across four seasons at Southern Methodist University. In his final season as a Mustang, Brown averaged a career-best 13.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.4 steals before being drafted 46th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2017.
The Maywood, IL, native’s career includes stops with the Milwaukee Bucks (2017-20), Houston Rockets (2020-21), and the Dallas Mavericks (2021-22). Brown appeared in 264 games (29 starts) and owns NBA career averages of 5.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 16.8 minutes per game. He shot .420 (531-1263) from the field, .364 (248-681) from three-point range, and .796 (121-152) from the free throw line.
Brown is the 13th player in franchise history to receive an NBA call-up.
