Charge Acquire Rights To Nate Hinton In Trade With Mad Ants

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Charge have acquired the rights to F Nate Hinton from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in exchange for the rights to C Norvel Pelle and Cleveland’s own 2nd round pick in the 2023 NBA G League Draft.
Hinton (6-5, 210, Houston) played in 47 total games for the Mad Ants in 2021-22 as a Two-Way Player, averaging 15.3 points on .446 shooting with 7.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.1 steals in 34.5 minutes per game. He played in two games with the Indiana Pacers last season and 21 games in 2020-21 with the Dallas Mavericks after going undrafted in 2020.
Pelle played in 28 total games for the Charge in 2021-22 (12 starts) and averaged 4.6 points on .632 shooting with 3.5 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 11.4 minutes per game. He earned an NBA call-up with both the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz on 10-day contracts last season.
