Detroit Pistons Sign Cole Swider To A Two-Way Contract

DETROIT, Mich. (Oct. 21, 2024) – The Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has signed forward Cole Swider to a two-way contract. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Swider, 6-9, 220, played in 18 games with the Miami HEAT last season and in seven games with the L.A. Lakers during the 2022-23 season. He’s also seen action in 41 career NBA G League games, averaging 19.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, including 24.9 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 14 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the NBA G League affiliate of the Miami HEAT, last season.
A native of Portsmouth, R.I., Swider split his collegiate career between Villanova and Syracuse. After three seasons with the Wildcats where he averaged 5.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 77 games, Swider spent his senior season with the Orange where he averaged 13.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 33 games.
