Raptors Sign Cole Swider To 10-Day Contract

The Toronto Raptors announced Wednesday they have signed forward Cole Swider (Swhy-der) to a 10-day contract. Per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Swider, 6-foot-8, 220 pounds, is averaging 21.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 34.6 minutes in 31 Tip-Off Tournament and regular season games with Motor City and South Bay in the NBA G League this season. He is shooting .482 (220-456) from the field and .442 (136-308) from three-point range. Swider has scored 20+ points in 19 games, including 30 or more three times, and recorded one double-double. He has also played in two games with the Detroit Pistons after signing a two-way contract prior to the start of the 2024-25 season. He was waived by the Pistons on Jan. 6.

A native of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Swider holds career averages of 1.9 points, 0.6 rebounds and 5.2 minutes in 27 NBA games with the LA Lakers, Miami and Detroit. He signed a two-way contract with the Lakers in July 2022 following one year at Syracuse (2021-22) and three seasons at Villanova (2018-21).
