Grizzlies Sign Christian Koloko to 10-Day Contract

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the team signed center Christian Koloko to a 10-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Koloko (7-0, 230) has appeared in 97 games (19 starts) over three seasons with the Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers and has averaged 2.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.9 minutes. The 25-year-old owns a career 2.3 blocks per 36 minutes average and ranked eighth among qualifying players in the category during the 2022-23 season. He played two games for the Lakers this season before he was waived on Nov. 25.
Koloko also has played 28 games (26 starts) over three seasons with the NBA G League’s Raptors 905, South Bay Lakers and Austin Spurs. He has averaged 12.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 3.0 blocks in 27.7 minutes.
A native of Douala, Cameroon, Koloko moved to the United States in 2017 and played three years collegiately at Arizona, where he was named the 2021-22 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. He was selected by the Raptors 33rd overall in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft.
