Lakers Re-Sign Colin Castleton To Two-Way Contract

The Los Angeles Lakers have re-signed center Colin Castleton to a two-way contract, it was announced today by Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka.
Castleton appeared in 16 games for the Lakers as a rookie in 2023-24, averaging 1.5 points in 3.7 minutes. The 24-year-old saw action in 12 regular season G League games (all starts) with the South Bay Lakers, averaging 14.1 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 blocks in 28.6 minutes. Castleton scored in double figures in nine of those outings, including three 20-point performances.
Across five collegiate seasons at the University of Florida (2020-23) and University of Michigan (2018-20), Castleton appeared in 122 games (75 starts) and averaged 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.7 blocks in 20.9 minutes. The Florida native appeared in 26 games (all starts) in his final campaign with the Gators, averaging 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.0 blocks in 31.2 minutes, earning him All-SEC First Team honors. The 2023 All-SEC Defensive Team selection's 3.0 blocks per outing ranked first in the SEC and third overall in the NCAA.
