New York Knicks Sign Boo Buie To Two-Way Contract

NEW YORK, November 5, 2024 – The New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed Boo Buie to a two-way contract.
Buie, 24-years-old (6-2, 180-pounds), most recently played with Phoenix Suns in the NBA 2K25 Summer League where he averaged 9.0 points, 2.0 assists, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals over 21.1 minutes in five games. He registered a summer league-high 16 points (41.7% FG; 40.0% 3PT), three assists, two rebounds and three steals vs. Oklahoma City (July 17). Buie also recorded 11 points (36.4% FG; 42.9% 3PT), four assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block vs. Milwaukee (July 19).
The Albany NY-native originally joined the Phoenix Suns this summer following his fifth season at Northwestern University. Buie finished his collegiate career at Northwestern University, averaging 14.7 points, 4.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals over 31.2 minutes in 149 games (128 starts). In his fifth year, Buie became the program’s career-leading scorer (2,187 points) and earned 2024 First-Team All-Big Ten honors after averaging 19.0 points (43.8% FG; 43.4% 3PT), 5.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 36.9 minutes in 34 games (all starts). He registered a career-high 35 points (50.0% FG; 54.5% 3PT), three rebounds and six three-pointers against Illinois (Feb 23, 2023). As a senior, Buie also earned 2023 First-Team All-Big Ten honors after averaging 17.3 points, 4.5 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals over 34.9 minutes in 34 games (all starts).
