Philadelphia 76ers Sign Charles Bassey To 10-Day Contract

PHILADELPHIA — JAN 26, 2026 — Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey announced today that the team has signed Charles Bassey to a 10-day contract.
Originally selected by Philadelphia in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2021 NBA Draft, Bassey is averaging 4.3 points on 62.5-percent shooting and 4.3 rebounds in 115 games with the 76ers, Spurs, and Grizzlies. He appeared in two games for Memphis this season, averaging 3.5 points and 7.5 rebounds.
Bassey joins Philadelphia after competing in 10 games (nine starts) with the Santa Cruz Warriors, the G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, averaging 18.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.4 assists in 27.8 minutes per game.
The Nigerian native tallied five double-doubles with Santa Cruz and recorded a season-high 34 points on 13-of-21 shooting from the field, while adding 13 rebounds to go along with two blocks against the Austin Spurs on Jan. 2, 2026.
