Spurs Sign David Duke Jr. To Two-Way Contract

SAN ANTONIO (Dec 14, 2023) – The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have signed guard David Duke Jr. to a Two-Way contract. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not announced. In a corresponding roster move, the Spurs have waived Two-Way guard Sir’Jabari Rice.
Duke Jr., 6-4/205, most recently played for the Delaware Blue Coats, the G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers. In 11 games with the Blue Coats, he averaged 21.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists in 31.5 minutes. Prior to Delaware, Duke Jr. was with the Brooklyn Nets for two seasons (2021-23) as a Two-Way player. In 45 NBA games, he averaged 4.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12.6 minutes. In 35 regular season games with Brooklyn’s G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, Duke Jr. posted averages of 20.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 32.3 minutes.
The Providence, R.I. native spent three seasons (2018-21) at Providence College, where he was named to the Associated Press Honorable Mention All-America as a junior. In 91 games for the Friars, Duke Jr. finished with career averages of 11.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 30.8 minutes.
Rice appeared in four games with the Austin Spurs this season, averaging 9.3 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 20.3 minutes.
