The Wisconsin Herd Named Schuyler Rimmer Head Coach

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Sept. 17, 2026) – The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, has named Schuyler Rimmer head coach.
Rimmer becomes the fifth head coach in franchise history and brings nine years of NBA coaching experience, including one season in the NBA G League. Most recently, he was named an assistant coach on Bucks Head Coach Taylor Jenkins’ staff and will continue to serve as a Bucks assistant coach in addition to his role as Herd head coach.
"Schuyler is a talented and dedicated leader who can cultivate the strong partnership between the Bucks and Herd,” said Jenkins. “I’m excited for him to take this next step in his career and help foster our culture and identity that will set up our player development for success."
Rimmer returns to the organization after previously spending four seasons with the Bucks from 2018-22, serving as an assistant video coordinator and player development assistant, including during the team’s 2021 NBA Championship.
"Schuyler’s background and experiences at the NBA and NBA G League levels make him a great fit to be our next Herd head coach," said Herd general manager Arte Culver. “His passion for player development and his connectivity to the Bucks coaching staff will serve as a great foundation for him to lead the Herd."
Following his first stint with the Bucks, Rimmer joined the Los Angeles Lakers as an assistant coach from 2022-24 before serving as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Suns during the 2024-25 season. He spent the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach for the NBA G League's Maine Celtics.

A Florida native, Rimmer played collegiate basketball at Stanford from 2013-15 and Florida from 2015-17 before beginning his NBA career as an assistant video coordinator with the Atlanta Hawks.
