Timberwolves Sign Justin Jackson To 10-Day Contract

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has signed forward Justin Jackson to a 10-day contract. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.  

Jackson, 6-8, has appeared in 278 career games (61 starts) since being selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 15th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, owning averages of 6.0 points on 42.3% shooting, 2.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 17.6 minutes per game with the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics. 

Jackson has seen action in eight career playoff games, three games with the Mavericks during the 2019-20 season and five games with the eventual NBA Champion Bucks during their 2020-21 championship run. 

Most recently, Jackson has appeared in 35 games (33 starts) this season for the Texas Legends, the NBA G League affiliate of the Mavericks, averaging 19.9 points on 48.2% shooting, including 42.7% from deep, 5.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 34.2 minutes per game. 

The Houston native played three seasons at the University of North Carolina, appearing in 118 games (114 starts), owning career collegiate averages of 13.8 points on 45.9% shooting, 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 29.1 minutes per game. During his junior season in 2016-17, Jackson appeared in 40 games, averaging team-highs of 18.3 points in 32.0 minutes per game, leading the Tar Heels to their sixth National Championship. 

Jackson will wear No. 44 with the Timberwolves.
