Best Games To Watch This Week: Nov. 28

Joe DiProsperos /November 28, 2022

Yet another loaded week of G League basketball on tap. What could possibly be better than that?

There’s more than enough to look forward to in the coming days. That includes a winning streak that will look to be extended, two of the best teams so far this season going head-to-head, and a whole lot more.

Check out some of the matchups that will absolutely be worth checking in on.

Oklahoma City Blue v. Ontario Clippers (Nov. 28 at 10 pm/et on NBAGLeague.com)

Ontario will be looking to extend its league and franchise-best eight-game winning streak at home. Along with the likes of Nate Darling (19.6 PTS, 4.3 REB) and Xavier Moon (17.2 PTS, 4.9 AST), two-way big man Moussa Diabate has been at the forefront of Ontario’s success. Diabate has recorded at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and a blocked shot in his last three games. Meanwhile, Oklahoma City got back into the win column against Salt Lake City thanks to big games from Lindy Waters III, D.J. Wilson and Jahmi’us Ramsey, the latter of whom continues to pace the team in scoring at 22.5 points per game.

Greensboro Swarm v. Westchester Knicks (Nov. 29 at 7 pm/et on NBATV)

The Knicks can claim the league leaders in two of the league’s major individual offensive categories so far this season. Rookie guard James Akinjo is currently leading the league in assists per game with 11.1, while fellow first-year big man Garrison Brooks is tops in rebounds per game with 13. On the other hand, despite a tough start to the season, Greensboro has gotten some excellent production from Kobi Simmons, who leads the team in points and assists per game at 24.4 and 6.3 respectively, as well as rookie big man Mark Williams, whose 13 rebounds per contest is tied for the most in the league.

Maine Celtics v. Capital City Go-Go (Nov. 30 at 7 pm/et on ESPN+)

This could very well be one of the best matchups of the young season. Two of the top three teams in the most recent power rankings, Maine and Capital City are playing some exceptional basketball of late, especially on the defensive end where they both rank in the top ten in defensive rating. The two teams are also first and second in rebounding percentage, with the Celtics’ Luka Samanic and Mfiondu Kabengele both grabbing more than 10 rebounds per game and Capital City also boasting a 10-rebound-per game guy in Vernon Carey Jr.

Windy City Bulls v. Fort Wayne Mad Ants (Dec. 3 at 7 pm/et on NBAGLeague.com)

The league’s top defense in Windy City will be going up against a third-ranked Fort Wayne offense. In leading all teams in scoring at 125.6 points per game, the Mad Ants record the most assists per game (30.5) and are converting on 36.2% of the over 38 threes they attempt per game. Meanwhile, the Bulls grab the second-most rebounds per game (49.9) while their opponents are shooting a league-low 41.2% from the field and scoring just 106.6 points per game. In a loaded Central Division that also features the surging Iowa Wolves and 6-4 Cleveland Charge, it’s a game that could prove massive down the stretch.
