JD Davison Named NBA G League Player Of The Week

PORTLAND, ME – The NBA G League today announced that Maine Celtics point guard JD Davison has been named NBA G League Player of the Week for games played Dec. 4-10.
Davison, a second-year Two-Way Player, helped Maine to a 2-1 record on the week, including two consecutive wins. For the week, Davison averaged 27.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.0 blocked shots per game. Davison shot 53.7% (29-54) from the field and 54.5% (6-11) from three-point range.
This is the first time Davison has earned Player of the Week honors. For the 2023-24 season, he is currently leading the NBA G League in assists at 8.8 per game and is 8th in scoring at 23.8 points per contest. Davison has surpassed 30 points in a single game twice this season and has recorded eight double-doubles, including seven games with 10 assists or more.
Davison and the Maine Celtics have two games at the Portland Expo this week before heading to Orlando for the NBA G League Winter Showcase. Maine plays College Park on both Friday, Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. Tickets for both games can be found by visiting MaineCeltics.com.
