NBA G League Ignite took to the court for its second scrimmage of December on Thursday, falling to a team of G League veterans, 125-99.
The team jumped out to a seven-point lead early and Jonathan Kuminga scored 18 first-half points (21 total; 4 assists) to fuel Ignite in the first two frames. Jalen Green followed up with 20 points and 6 rebounds while Isaiah Todd chipped in 13 points alongside 6 boards.
“It has been difficult, but that’s what I choose and I choose it because I knew I was ready,” Kuminga said.
Shaw referred to the consecutive losses as a learning experience, saying it’s allowed his guys to understand what it’s going to be like day in and day out.
